A few tips on taking a good pet photo.
- Some of the best photos fill the frame. Don't stand too far away from your pet.
- Choose a simple background.
- Have the sunlight at your back or to the side, rather than behind your pet if outside.
Other things to know
- One pet per photo, although households can submit more than one photo if you have more than one pet.
- Please allow up to 48 hours for photos to be approved.
- Photo can be black & white or color. Digital photo must be in jpg format of at least 300 dpi.
- Poor quality photos will not be accepted.
- Copyrighted photos will not be accepted without a photographer’s release.
- All photos become the property of the Mountain Times Publications and will not be returned, so please don’t send your only copy.
- Must be 18 years old or older to enter.
